Located 87.4 kilometers southeast of Ulleungdo, Dokdo is visible to the naked eye from Ulleungdo on a clear day. In contrast, Dokdo is located 157.5 kilometers northwest of the Oki Islands of Japan’s Shimane Prefecture, from which it is not visible.
